SLC Dental’s On-Site Lab Capabilities

The Technology Shortens the Time for the Restorative Process

Our Process

Our doctors will examine the affected tooth or teeth to determine if a denture is necessary. If so, which type of denture ( Partial, full, snap on or all on 4) would be best and prepare the area of the remaining teeth and gums to accommodate the denture option.

Instead of traditional dental impressions, a small camera can capture highly detailed digital images of the tooth. The camera, often called an intraoral scanner, moves around the tooth to create a 3D model on the computer screen.

The digital impressions help us design the dentures using specialized computer software. Our expert lab technicians will customize the shape, size, and color to match your natural teeth and fit your bite.

Once we complete the design, we’ll send the specifications to an on-site milling machine. The milling machine crafts the restoration from a solid block of ceramic material, precisely following the digital design.

After milling, our doctors will check the fit and aesthetics of the restoration. Any necessary adjustments, such as polishing or staining, will ensure a natural appearance and comfortable fit.

The new denture will be placed and gauged for comfortability. The denture is carefully placed, ensuring a secure fit. We work with you to make sure you have all your questions answered at each point of the process.

Went to them for a double crown earlier last week, then yesterday had to go in as I was experiencing some pretty bad pain where they had placed the crowns. Called in and explained the situation and they said we have an opening come right in, I told them what was up and they quickly fixed the crowns so that it sat better and provided me with other necessary items to help with the pain. They were patient, and excellent at ensuring everything was alright. Highly recommend both Dr. Palmer, Dr. Allred and their staff.

I’m so grateful I came to this office for my bridge and crown work. Over a decade of hiding my face because of a missing tooth. Today that nightmare is over. I got my natural smile back. Thank you Dr Allred. And especially thank you Emily! You listened to all my concerns and silly jokes. I’m looking forward to my next tooth cleaning! Who can say that?

I have had very poor/traumatizing experiences with past dentists so finding a dentist I feel safe with is quite the challenge. I can confidently say I am so grateful I found SLC dental – the entire staff is extremely friendly and kind. Dr. Allred is so patient, so gentle & talks you through each step. I had to get four crowns done and I genuinely can say I didn’t feel any pain during the procedures & I felt fully supported by the staff. I can’t recommend them enough!
